"Discovery"
the days are long,
a world frozen with fog
roads meander ahead
I am tired from seeking,
while stepping with unsure footing
earlier, I had passed but forgot
her serenity called out to me
no time to stop and visit,
always in search of other treasures
disenchanted from missed treasures,
I descended along slippery roads
returning to her frozen whispers
ready to hear, I willfully stop
silent with hushed voice, I listen—
timelessness exists with my presence,
enchantment abounds within
the day’s treasure, she waits for me
now and here, she is to be
I see and know her, I am
at peace, surrounded by
stillness with nature,
this day’s new discovery

This poem, taken from my first book (STILLNESS: Whispers From Nature), shares the joy experienced from discovering Nature's beauty there all along, waiting. My hope is that you discover her, there waiting for you.
