I paint what moves me and affects me in the natural world that surrounds me, my memories and experiences. The barred owl and I have crossed paths many times and each time it was dusk, each time it was intense, they just demand and command awe. The other relationship I have with them is their calling back and forth, like cackling monkeys on a cool fall night in the backdrop of a loud breeze.
