Raymond

Raymond is a long eared owl. This is my second piece done in the D&H Technique under the direction of mosaic artist Kala Jarda.
The realistic nature of the piece, while looking like a painting, is actually made up of thousands of thin shards of stained glass. Special attention is always paid to the eyes, which seem to peer out at the observer with keen interest. The direction and placement of the glass shards suggest fur or feathers in this technique.
Kelly is one of a very limited number of artists worldwide who has trained under Kala Jarda to learn this unique technique.
