Kel Hinds Art
Gold Coast, Queensland
Kelly Hinds is an Australian Abstract Artist who explores colour.
MessageCo-Existence explores the interconnected relationship between material, colour, texture and form through layered abstract compositions. Combining heavily textured surfaces with embedded timber elements and fluid passages of paint, the series reflects on the ways contrasting forces can occupy the same space in balance and tension.
The works move between structure and spontaneity, permanence and impermanence. Timber forms act as physical anchors within shifting fields of colour, suggesting traces of landscape, growth, memory and human intervention. These embedded elements coexist with gestural movement and luminous layers, creating surfaces that feel both constructed and organic.
Developed through an intuitive process of layering, obscuring and revealing, the series considers how fragments of experience and environment overlap over time. Each composition becomes a tactile field where disruption and harmony exist simultaneously, inviting contemplation of connection, rhythm and transformation within the material world.
