Red Rockin is part of the ongoing Life After Life series, which follows a recurring skeletal figure, Skully Jones, through familiar cultural spaces. Set at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, the piece treats the landmark not as a monument, but as a lived environment shaped by ritual, music, and shared experience.
The skeletal figure removes individual identity, allowing the scene to speak more broadly about presence, release, and collective energy. Executed in watercolor, graphite, and ink on hot-pressed paper, the work balances precision with risk, mirroring the tension between structure and freedom that defines both the venue and the moment depicted.
