Andrew Taylor is a painter living and working in Cambridgeshire. Originally born in Merseyside in 1959, Taylor's work is multi-media, including paint, plaster and wax. He primarily works on paper and board, building up textured surfaces and adding or taking away elements until a point of resolution is reached. This intuitive approach allows an interplay between the conscious and the unconscious, the material and the metaphysical. His inspiration includes derelict buildings, patterns in landscape, poetry, classical music and jazz.
