Artist: Theo Dimson x
Complete set of posters for the Canadian mining company Falconbridge. The company, named for the town where it was founded, explored, mined, processed and marketed metal and mineral products. This series of Art Deco-inspired posters was designed by Theo Dimson during the 1960s in order to advertise their production.
Prominent Toronto graphic designer Theo Dimson was known for his Art Deco-style movie and theatre posters and is often remembered as one of the most creative and innovative Canadian graphic designers.
Dimson was internationally recognized and received awards and accolades in books and magazine articles in countries around the world. His last show was a retrospective of his work in February 2010 titled "Distinctly Different - The Theatre Posters of Theo Dimson” at the Theatre Museum Canada.
He is the author of Great Canadian Posters and also created stamps for Canada Post.
