My work is fueled by negotiating what it feels like to be tied between Japanese-American parents who survived the internment camps and my forgotten Korean heritage. This evolved into an investigation between two cultures I have been raised in and the perpetual limbo lack of belonging creates, while recalibrating my own sexuality, a symbol of redemption for my birth mothers lack of choice.
