In true Kansas spirit, this piece features a meadowlark among the wheat.
Created using my special process of treating magazine pages and manipulating the ink with a stencil, this time my own design wheat stencil, to create a background as a home for the collage meadowlark. The meadowlark is made of papers, napkins, and a bit of treasured batik fabric. Then accents have been machine stitched through the collage. The artwork is on a deep stretched canvas. In front are plants cut from plastic treated with a coat of alcohol ink. Everything has been sealed up securely and the piece is ready to hang!
