Geometric shadow patterns in my Minnesota foliage series are inspired by the photographs that I took on a trip to Minnesota. I was captivated by both the shape and depth of the shadows as I looked back at the photos.
This is mostly acrylic, but I began the piece with watercolor first on paper printed with a citra solv print pattern. It also has colored pencil, pastel, and tiny bits of paper. Truly mixed media.
On watercolor paper, it is matted and framed under glass.
