This is the first painting I did at the UVAA évent. It was from the porch of a beautiful home whose owner was kind enough to let us invade it for the afternoon and set up our easels everywhere. I really enjoyed this spot but still felt I quit on the painting to soon. I simplified some of my shapes and heightened the color to more reflect my memory of the evening light on the fall color. I had a limited palette on location that didn’t provide the impact I was after.
