The Wave Action painting was painted on location on the cliffs of Mendocino. A rocky coastline with hidden rocks just below the surf created an area where a single wave formation repeated itself throughout the afternoon. Something I had not previously observed in quite the same degree. The sunny weather and deep blue colors made for a Great afternoo of painting and exploring.
