Eastern Ridge - Southern Oregon Wine Country

The National Association of Women Artist Summer Small Format Show 2018 has been on display during July and August. The show is juried and hangs in the NAWA Gallery on 39th St. in New York City. My painting "Eastern Ridge" is a 6 x 6 inch painting on panel. I painted it as part of a series of views around the Rogue River Valley where I live. It is an agriculture valley historically largely planted in fruit orchards but in the last 10 years vineyards have been added and now comprise a large percentage of the cultivated acreage. In more recent years we have begun to see a large sections being planted in Hemp, adding yet another texture and shape quality for the artists to explore.
