I have a lot of vases and other items on a large table to use for still life paintings. I’m discovering that I prefer finding random relationships among the assortment of objects rather than strategically setting them up. This is one such arrangement discover after rearranging my studio and placing my chair in a new location. The hat was my mom’s, it sits on a hand built clay bust I made several years ago, the tall vase was built by a wonderful clay artist & craftsman, Jim Robinson; the small round vase came to me from my mom though I think it was at Grandmother’s when I was young, the taller white vase is cloisonné from Hong Kong. I purchased while on a trip there with my Grandmother- she was 80 and I was 30, she paid and I carried the bags. The other vase and flowers I bought near home when my husband discovered his love of growing lilies and new vases were required to enjoy them in the house, though these are not lilies.
