Nantucket Afternoon

Nantucket Afternoon is a collage painting about one of my favorite places. The pink and purple colors that flash by as I bike by the blooming hydrangea bushes. The salty brine of the deep blue Atlantic that I smell while enjoying the succulent taste of a warm buttered lobster roll.

The patterns and textures of Nantucket entice me. The frothy foam of the waves on its shell strewed beaches. The weathered gray shingles against crisp white trim of the Nantucket cottages. Lavender, magenta, slate blues, and gray tones surround me.
