With countries in conflict, the polarization of our political parties, and xenophobia at an all-time high…how can we bridge our differences to work together in harmony for a better future? In Bridging Our Differences, I wanted to show that despite the seemingly enormous obstacles (the large green rocks) in our way, individuals (the small, colorful stones) banding together could create these bridges to help us move forward towards positive change.
One of my favorite quotes by Margaret Mead, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” Let us all work toward being one of these small, colorful stones.
