Great White Kale is a word play on how this piece came out so very like a creature of the sea . I intended to carve the exuberant ruffles on ruffles and elegant lines of a Kale leaf and found myself reminded of waves and water flow and sea spray . Its is a reminder of how forms that repeat in nature and take on a mind of their own .
