Exit

What if?

As your biology ceases to pulse, you sense the disengagement,

You look at what was, a geopolitical and culturally packaged sentiment.

What if?

Alive in your new form, you have no idea of what to do,

You look at what is, a malleable liquid of golden packaged hue.

What if?

In fright you remember, you did not want to go to hell,

You wanted entry into heaven, where all would be well.

What if?

Departed beings behaved just as before, you found no rewards, no punishments,

You saw no justice being served for deeds so vile, no boundary for eternal banishments.

 What if?

This made you angry, you, self-considered a loving being, boiled with rage at this unfairness,

You had followed the rituals of your doctrine, your ideology,

Held check on earthly pleasures to gain favour with the universe.

What if?

Disenchantment now cloaked your intuition, rendering your thinking dull,

You screamed at the void of what you did not understand,

You joined a choir of stagnant discontent, a pit of compounding, whining, noise,

A state of mind, your own perdition – an energetic wasteland.

What if?

Now tightly bound within the landscape of your fuming thoughts,

You repelled the loving touch that sought to guide your new adventure,

You, transporting your earthly need for immediate gratification, blindfolded yourself,

To the everlasting pulse of Love, flowing through your spiritual placenta.
