Heavy ideas we often hold onto in our youth—misguided beliefs that can lead to deep suffering and a disconnection from our true selves. This artwork serves as a heartfelt wake-up call, not just for me, but for all of us. It challenges us to reconsider how we nurture and educate the next generation, encouraging a shift towards greater awareness and understanding.
“PAIN” doesn’t shy away from discomfort—it confronts it. The nails scattered across the surface pierce the canvas like beliefs hammered into our minds before we knew how to question them. Sharp, uninvited, and deeply embedded, each nail represents an idea that was meant to shape us, but instead wounded us.
The layers of paint are thick, almost suffocating—as if trying to cover what lies beneath, yet unable to hide the scars. This is not just a personal story; it’s a shared experience. The painting becomes a body that remembers, and at the same time, a protest against the silent inheritance of pain.
“PAIN” doesn’t leave us in suffering. It reveals it, so we can recognize it. And stop passing it on.
