An abstract botanical painting of natural forms juxtaposed with geometric shapes creates a balance between the fluidity of natural forms and the rigidity of geometric ones, giving the painting a sense of depth, balance and complexity of place. The central element is a stylized rendition of a monstera leaf outlined deliberately in a vibrant red-orange, creating movement, vitality, and a captivating dynamic visual tension. This piece was inspired by my very large monstera houseplant that has its own sense of autonomy and commands attention, respect and awe.
