I use paper to try out colour palettes and compositions as a warm up before moving on to a canvas, these often turn into little works of art in themselves. I also love the different quality that results from working on paper. We have a property called Mt Pleasant and although it doesn't look quite like this I think it's the feeling that this work conveys that suits the name. I've always loved the name and consider it a very 'pleasant' place to live. On my daily walks I see Mt Pleasant in the distance and these little trees dancing over the top of the ridge.
