The American Badger has always intrigued my interests...what can I say...they're just 'Bad'! They are incredible diggers with long claws for the job. Badgers sport a 'drape cape' of camouflaged fur, and a bold, mesmerizing pattern of lines on their face backed by a fierce attitude. I encountered this badger in the out backs of Yellowstone National Park. He was hardly interested in my presence. Much more interested in preying on the ground squirrels milling about.
