The bison had been out in this area all day enjoying a rare rain and cooler weather. I caught them as they began heading down into the canyons before nightfall.
As I finished this painting and started loading up the truck to head back to camp, the coyotes began serenading me with their twilight song… ending a perfect day on the prairie.
