These works signify the natural landscape as the dark rolls in and the colours deepen into autumn. They are the beginnings of a larger series investigating the physical manifestation of “wild inks”.
Ink is living, and when different material mix they cause reactions, oxidisation, and often a shift in colour. Tinkering with plants and berries found in hedgerows, or grinding charloal and stones from cliff faces opens up a new perspective of how to view and engage with the landscape surrounding us.
