In the lightening dawn, he stood silently on the bank of the deep blue lake, eyes riveted on each slight movement on the glassy surface.
Searching for the bubbles rising from beneath, he hoped to spy a plump hippopotamus—or two- as it  floated up to gulp the cool morning air!
Eventually one quietly popped up in a noisy splash, yawned and returned to the deep!
