Delicate rings of red and yellow glass powder float above a drifting wave of turquoise and yellow.
Glass powders are sifted in layers onto sheet glass, heated to 1500°F in a brick kiln, then shaped with successively finer grits of diamonds on a lapidary wheel before bending into a soft form with further heatwork. This bowl spent around 50 hours in the kiln over the course of four firings.
