This new work is a natural development from my more abstract collage paintings. I have become increasingly interested in edges; cut, worn, rubbed, broken, smooth. So much so that the actual panel has become part of the collage, as well as the paper/painted shapes. This all comes from my main theme of boats and boatyards, but increasingly it is more about the materials and  techniques than the subject in front of me.
