"Close of Day" is based on remembered landscape imagery from my time at an artist residency at Chateau Orquevaux, in France in 2018.
This painting is part of a recent series created during the pandemic for my 2022 show "Transcending the Ordinary". The paintings are vibrant abstract landscapes that offer a sense of wonder and joy during our current troubled times.
