Roy Ettinger

Hands-On Architect, Master Builder & Artist

Roy Ettinger is an architect, builder and artist who brings over 50 years of experience and expertise to the businesses he owns and operates in Portland, Oregon.

Roy is graduate of the Syracuse University School of Architecture and spent his early professional years as an assistant regional architect for the US Forest Service in San Francisco, California. In 1977 Roy moved to Portland, Oregon with his family and set up a multi-faceted, private practice that he continues to this day.

As a one-man firm, Roy has personally designed and constructed a multitude of both residential and commercial projects such as Hopworks Brewery, highlighting his signature round windows. His work has been published in the San Francisco Chronical and Oregonian newspapers and in Sunset, Better Homes and Gardens, Homeowner, Metal Architecture and Building Systems magazines.

As owner of Geometrix Architecture, LLC and Geometrix Construction LLC Roy has blended his extraordinary skills as a designer with his hands-on experience as a contractor, to create unique, well-built structures with an artistic flair, loved by all who live in them.

As an artist, Roy enjoys creating paintings using greased crayons on clay surfaced paper, water color, acrylics and pencil. His sculptures are a wonder of recycled scrap iron and steel.
