I don't think a commission has touched my heart as much as Wilma. Wilma's family suffered a massive house fire on January 7th, 2016 that completely demolished their home. The family and their other dog managed to escape the blaze unharmed, but the fire claimed the life of their beloved Black lab Wilma who rushed back into the burning home to save her family. Wilma was described to me as a gentle, loving soul, and I hope her portrait can offer her family a small sense of comfort,
