It feels good to finally finish my first painting of 2016. I took a little break after Christmas, and I admit it's been tough to get back in the groove (I know I've been avoiding things when I rearranged the furniture my studio and started my 2015 taxes). Whenever I get stuck, I know the best thing to get going is to paint my favorite rooster reference photo. I love working with the different reds and maybe it's their kick ass attitude, but for some reason, painting roosters just get me back into the swing of things,
