This was inspired by all the death and pain in Ukraine. Other than the eyes, this was a "loose" painting for me. I intended for it to be a standard portrait, but the paper wasn't taking paint well. I thought about tossing it out a few times. Then I said, "Lemme go nuts and paint a skul for the lower half." I did this and the hair very loosely. I'm kind of burnt out on painting right now, so this could be my last painting for 2022.
