Serving my first prison sentence (and a federal one at that) I've come to learn and accept that is is a different world with its own codes/laws (spoken and unspoken) amongst prisoners and staff. The hardest part is trying to communicate the flaws and injustices that go on in here. You'd think this place would focus on reform and rehabilitation but after 7 years I'm a more seasoned, violent, aggressive, dangerous animal then I was coming in. Through art, after almost quitting, I picked up a pencil trying to educate only a small area of federal prison life, isolation. It's like prison inside of prison. Learn more at www.bop.gov.
