“Prison as a whole is a corrupt business. Sentences do not fit crime. Commissary prices do not match the products being sold. If you are deemed to have a high recidivism rate then you are almost guaranteed to make parole because they know they will continue to make money on you when you come back. Whereas if you are not likely to reoffend they hold you as long as they

can with no explanation or reason, just a simple “parole denied.” But mass incarceration, as much money as it makes this country, there are still only limited ways to not only support ourselves behind these walls, but also to prepare ourselves for a foot in the right direction upon release. All this money is made off of us, but so little of it is spent to improve our chances at success as we transition back into the community. I chose Trump to bead because unlike the corrupt, secret, smoke and mirrors show you get from prisons in the U.S., you didn’t get that from him. His methods were bold, his words were harsh, and you may not have agreed with his moves, but you never had to question his thoughts or motives or stance on a particular issue.”
