A Lobi Bronze headstake upraising from a conical handle, a protruding snout beneath a slender nose with prominent nostrils, framed by coffee-bean eyes, arrow-shaped scarifications on the temples, ridged hairstyle with a center comb, a casting defect on the left side of the head. These rare bronze heads of the Lobi were probably made under the influence of the Gan in Loropeni, where a centuries-old bronze tradition exist. Like most bronze sculptures, this one is made by the lost wax process.
