Yes! I did see this scene in person - although not all of the elements at the same time. I took the photo of the sunken boat while scuba diving in The Bahamas and photos of the sharks through aquarium glass. I have seen several sharks in the distance while diving, but never up close and personal. DJ's Locker was such fun to paint. As painters, when painting from photos we have taken, we get to re-live very special moments.
