This piece was inspired by Christo's attempt to drape 6 miles of metallic fabric over the Arkansas River in Colorado for his "Over the River" project. While I fully support the idea behind his artwork, I also believe that our rivers not simply moving bodies of water. They are complex and sensitive ecosystems that could be impacted significantly by this installation.
