My favourite view of Ben Lomond is from across Loch Lomond on a hill called Beinn Dubh. (This is part of the Glen Striddle Horseshoe, which is accessed from the village of Luss). This artwork is made of a collage of old Ordance Survey maps of Loch and Ben Lomond and I’ve used oil paint to work with the maps to create the resulting painting. If you look closely, you will see contour lines, names and other details from the maps coming through the painting.
Framed in a buff coloured, hand-painted wood with silver leaf slip.
