Giacomo Puccini composed "Madame Butterfly" and it premiered in 1904. This art piece shows the actual music sheet shaped into butterfly wings.
After showing this art to the Santa Fe Opera, they commissioned me to design a commemorative silk scarf for they 2018 season production of Madame Butterfly based on these wings and music sheets. The silk scarf sold out before the season ended.
