A random series of events led me to paint the first "Life in Holland" painting. It started with a panel I had already primed with dark paint, then strange inspirations came to me and I ended up with flowers, a frog and a snake, similar to old Dutch still life paintings. I liked the results, so I planned a series of these "Life in Holland" paintings. This is #2, with a snail and moth.
