Originally responding to weather data and referencing the feeling of inclement weather this piece was an installation and originally over 2.5m in length. The work is created using uncontrollable processes such as pouring, dropping and splashing. This is in contrast to the controlled volume, velocity and direction of gesture that are applied. Movements are automatic and once there is an established gestural sequence that flows the aim is to capture the pure movement without making it look stiff and tight.
