I wanted to do a new abstract series, but then she wanted to come out and play. Haven’t done portraits in so long and couldn’t understand why I felt the urge to paint one now, when I had a series to create. "HER" is my first big scale painted portrait in forever. It's the catalyst that inspired the whole narrative of my "LOVE YOURSELF" series. It might be the only portrait I paint for a while, too.
