Inspired by the playfulness of Amicalola Creek, just downstream from the renowned Amicalola Falls in Northwest Georgia, USA, Tumbling Waters captures the dynamic play of light and color as the sunlight dances across the water’s surface. "Ama Uqwalelvyil," the Cherokee term for Amicalola, translates to "tumbling waters," perfectly reflecting the lively movement portrayed in this piece. Initially painted en plein air and later refined in the studio, the artwork brings to life the ever-changing, shifting hues and shimmering reflections of clear water flowing over a gentle eddy of rocks.
Tumbling Waters is framed in a rich cherry wood with museum-quality, non-reflective glass.
