Floating with the river tide

My place in PEI has a wide-reaching view of the Hillsborough River—a designated heritage river—which provides ongoing inspiration. It is a picturesque, saltwater tidal river. To swim or kayak requires planning around its 7-9 foot tides but the feeling that comes with ‘floating with the river tide’ is a buoyantly blissful reward. This painting captures and expresses the essence of that feeling/sense of movement.
