I binge painted the beautiful purple clematis when they bloomed in my backyard—every day for nearly two weeks This is the finale piece. It’s fitting because I used one of the first photos I took to paint the buds. I painted the rest of it as an accumulation of my first three smaller pieces-with the shapes and colors and shadows of the flowers still so fresh in my mind- and in my hands. By the time I finished it, the petals faded and fluttered to the ground.
Oil in Canvas, framed in a lovely silver/black floater.
