I painted this plein air painting during the initial pandemic lockdown as part of a series of "close to home" images. I streamed online as I painted near a neighborhood pond as a way to connect with others isolated in their homes and with the intention of spreading hope through creativity. The blue vertical element was added back in my studio to reflect strength amid all the uncertainty. I added the soft thinner blue horizontal line to symbolize calm and patience.
