Have you ever gasped for breath? Maybe it was from shock or perhaps from overexertion. It's unsettling; your heart jolts as well. This painting, "Breathe Out So I Can Breathe You In" is a reminder to share your burdens as well as your joys, to breathe deeply and open your heart. It's a beautiful thing to be in sync with another person, to risk revealing your vulnerabilities in order to trust another, and to share their breath when you seem to lose yours. There is steadiness from the movement of inhale/exhale, and breathing together makes that stronger. There's a saying, "two people shorten the road." Two people also pave that road and help keep each other moving until the breath returns along with the light.
