Soon after I moved to Southern Utah, I began volunteering for Windhorse Wisdom, feeding horses and cows, learning about the willing relationship, how to be interesting and useful, embracing in a heart hug, conducting direct and drive, and learning about me through these beautiful ponies. I have painted several characters from the corrals over the years, but always wanted to capture them altogether. No easy feat. This is more symbolic than representational, but it captures the spirit. Currently there are 22 ponies and no cows. So there we have it.
