I've painted the Lighthouse for Gabriola Island and amazing things happen. Killer Whales leap in front of the island, or the BC Ferry going behind the island seems to appear to sit on the lighthouse and the sunsets are amazing.
This day, nothing was interesting and as I drove away I looked in the rear mirror and the Lighthouse was perfectly framed by fir branches. I stopped, snapped a photo and did a quick drawing.
I'd love a lighthouse tour. I don't think I'd like to live on a lighthouse island, that's too remote for me.
