The Field of Dreams proposal emphasis is the “American Dream” a very tangible belief system for immigrant people coming to the United States from third world countries. The financial crisis has shifted how immigrants coming to America perceive this experience from outside the country and inside. A field of dreams takes this complex and fragile situation into the space of architecture and landscape. The original project consists of selecting five of the oldest cobblestone streets in New York City and paving one cobblestone in gold as part of a public arts project documentation of work.
